Portrait photographer Lies Davidse (Middelburg, The Netherlands, 1971) shoots artistic, stylish, colorful and intense fashion stills. Her work has been published in various magazines and newspapers. Lies does her indoor photography usually in her own studio, located in a monumental building in the center of Middelburg, but she can work from any location. Lies will apply styling and cosmetics when desired. Her qualities are also in thinking of total new concept ideas for fashion- and advertisingcampaigns.
Lies Davidse completed her education at the Fotovakschool in the Netherlands in 2001. Here, she developd a love and aptitude for portraiture. She has been focused on portrait photography since she started working professionally and in 2002 she became affiliated with the British Institutel of Professional Photography (BIPP). This British professional association awards qualifications to photographers who have distinguished themselves professionally.
BIPP has awarded Lies with a Fellowship - the highest possible qualification - for her fashion and portrait photography. Lies is the firts female photographer in The Netherlands, who has been awarded this Fellowship. She is also a Qualified European Photographer (QEP), specializing in portraiture. Both qualifications internationally underline her craftmanship, creativity and personal, highly recognisable style.
